Community Pantry

one-two hours a month

Stocks food in our free food and hygiene pantry and help with meal distribution at the Gwinnett County Public Library

Food Program Purchasing

weekly or biweekly

Purchases food ministry items and delivers to our facility based on pre-set menu and budget

Food Program Pick-Up

one hour, once a month

Coordinates with purchasing team to pick up food ministry items and helps deliver to our facility 

Food Program Staging

one hour, once a month

 Sets up and counts out all of the food for ease and efficiency of the packing team

Food Program Packing

one hour, once a month

Packs pre-counted food items into grocery bags

Food Program Delivery

one hour, once a month

Delivers packed food bags directly to children’s doorsteps

Background check required (over 18)

Kids @ The Block Volunteer

two hours, once a week

Guides kids through pre-planned activities while building positive relationships 

Background check required (over 18)

Kids @ The Block Transportation

one hour, once a week

Picks up kids from school and drive them to Kids @ The Block

Background check and MVR required 

Kids @ The Block Substitute

two hours, as needed

Steps in to support Kids @ The Block programming when regularly scheduled volunteers are out

Background check required (over 18)

Kids @ The Block Special Events

one to two events each semester

Plans and executes special parties and community events throughout the year, such as holiday parties and family movie nights

Kids @ The Block Supply Prep

one to two hours each month

Prepares materials (cutting, organizing, laminating, etc.) to be used in K@TB programming ahead of time
