Love in Action, Impact You Can See
“I am grateful to God and to you for supporting my family when we needed it most. I would like a new family to receive help; since God has given me a job where I can now buy enough food for my family.”
“I enjoy volunteering with The Block because its a place that serves right here in our local community, meeting the needs of our children and families facing food insecurity. The Block is so flexible with scheduling and even easy to change your schedule if needed. Everyone I’ve met through serving is welcoming and easy to work with. They serve with the heart of God at the center.”
“I spend a lot of time in Gwinnett county libraries; I always notice the homeless people that use the library as a refuge. I think it is great that some group tries help these folks, leaving them their dignity in tact. Best regards.”
“On behalf of my children, I want to thank all of you for making it possible to help us with food as we are going through very hard times due to not having a job.”
“My family and I will no longer need the help that you have given us during this time and I want to let you know that we are very grateful to God first and then to you for such a noble gesture that you have had with my family. God bless you and a big hug of gratitude from my family and me.”
“Thank you all so much for blessing my family and I today. We’ve received our blessed bag and box. May God bless you all so so much. I am so grateful.

In partnership with local churches, The Block also operates a free food and hygiene pantry at the Gwinnett County Public Library, creating a dignified, self-service space for anyone in need.
With generous donations from area food donors, hundreds of pounds of food is received weekly, carefully sorted, and distributed to families and pantry visitors, fostering both immediate relief and long-term support for the community.
After-school care makes a lasting difference in a child’s life by offering stability, mentorship, and opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.
