We help guide our neighbors from hunger to hope through our various food programs; we understand that feeding people is essential for sustaining life, promoting health, and enabling individuals and communities to thrive.

We served an estimated 84,384 meals to our neighbors and families in 2025.

We stock our library pantry with approximately 900 food, hygiene, and household items every week.

We provide supplemental food to 395 kids per week through our Weekend Food Program.

We saved over 20,571 pounds of food with the help of our food rescue donors in 2025.

The Block has a profound impact on the community by providing weekly nutritious food bags to local children and their families while ensuring they have access to healthy meals over weekends and during school breaks and holidays.

In partnership with local churches, The Block also operates a free food and hygiene pantry at the Gwinnett County Public Library, creating a dignified, self-service space for anyone in need.

With generous donations from area food donors, hundreds of pounds of food is received weekly, carefully sorted, and distributed to families and pantry visitors, fostering both immediate relief and long-term support for the community.

After-school care makes a lasting difference in a child’s life by offering stability, mentorship, and opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.

We provide weekly after-school programming to 20 elementary-age students.

We made 10 home visits to bridge the gap between our program, our kids, and their families.

We take our Kids @ The Block students on 2 educational field trips per year.

We fully funded a week of summer camp for 8 of our after-school kids this year.

We host 3 family nights per year to foster stronger connections between parents, children, and staff.

We visited during school lunch 21 times during the 2024-2025 school year to build relationships and provide emotional support.

The Block’s after-school program, Kids @ The Block, provides a safe and nurturing environment where kids feel seen, loved, and supported. Designed to foster emotional, spiritual, and academic growth, the program builds lasting connections that extend beyond its hours through strong partnerships with families, schools, and the local community.

By offering this program, we continue to live out our commitment to being a good neighbor by serving our neighbors.
